What is one thing about you that many people do not know? I’m fluent in 3 languages…. English, Spanish, and Portuguese. I lived in Portugal for 3 years when I was about 9 years old. Spanish then became really easy for me in high school since I already knew how to speak Portuguese.

What is your favorite hobby? My favorite hobby is playing with my son, Sage, who is 18 months old. Right now I’m teaching him how to play soccer.

What is your favorite restaurant? The Boiling Crab is my favorite restaurant. I usually order the snow crab legs, garlic noodles, and corn on the cob. The have multiple locations in Sacramento and the Bay Area – I’ve been to a couple of them.

If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would you choose? I would have to say Alex Honald, an American rock climber best known for his free solo ascents of big walls, in particular his soloing of El Capitan, in Yosemite National Park. I wouldn’t mind going rock climbing every day.

Who is your favorite customer along your delivery route and why? My favorite customer was Pat from the Oakland Raiders back when I was doing my delivery routes in Oakland. A few years ago I relocated up to Sacramento and took over a route here. Jill for Calzen LLP would be new favorite customer along this route. She has a great personality and always asks about my family and if she can see pictures of my son. It just makes me really happy and special when they take the time out of the workday to connect on a personal level.

How do you like your coffee? I love my coffee, it gets me moving on my route every morning. I prefer Peet’s Big Bang dark roast and add alot of sugar and creamer in it.

What do you find most difficult about the COVID-19 shutdown? It definitely made me miss a lot of my customers and the relationships I had with them. Many of them are closed, gone now, or working remotely from their home offices. I feel left hanging with curiosity because so I’m not able to check in to see how they were doing, how their weekend was, etc.

What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day? It may sound sound very relaxing, but competitive video gaming is my go-to activity. I have a Playstation 5 and mancave set up my the backyard in a shed. It’s my oasis and I’m always on the top of the leader board.

Do you have any pets? I have an all black cat named Cozie. He has been around for a little over 3 years and loves running his head up against my son and playing with him. He’s a really good family cat and also helps me unwind after a crazy day, too. Some days I pet him like I’m the Godfather.

If you could be an office supply, which one would you be and why? I would like to be a case of legal paper to I can be assigned to something really important like a special contract for a professional football paper or the documents students sign when they are drafted from a university to the Oakland A’s.
